Not only did Gibb’s dance around questions regarding Obama’s past statements–and opposition– for the successful surge in Iraq, he was also asked 6 times if Bush would get any credit for Iraq. Not surprisingly, it’s answered in typical Gibbs fashion.
In 2007, Obama said: The 20,000 troop surge “will not in any imaginable way be able to accomplish any new progress“.
This was old a long time ago, now it’s just downright annoying- not to mention ineffective.
On August 30, President Barack Obama talked about his administrations ‘focus’ on the economy after meeting with his economic team. Of course, there’s no shortage of blaming Bush within the speech– or technical difficulties.
Apparently after the difficulties, the people gathered could not hear what he was saying, but Obama insisted the press could and continued anyways.
In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, President Obama reinforced his position on the Ground Zero mosque. In typical Obama fashion, he blamed the media for the mis-understanding of his initial remarks.
Of course, we all know nothing is his fault…
However, despite Obama defending his position, it still puts him at odds with Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid who called for relocation. Howard Dean also came out in support of the mosque being moved. As are 71% of Americans who are saying it’s “inappropriate” to put a mosque at Ground Zero.
Gee… things are gonna be kinda awkward if Charlie Crist does win the Florida Senate race and caucuses with the democrats as he has promised to do. Apparently this was dug up by the Rubio campaign because Clinton is now stomping for Kendrick Meeks, the front runner in the democratic primary.
It seems that some liberals have started to craw out of their hiding places to face their constituents. Just a couple of days ago we saw Rep Melissa Bean (D-IL) and her beefy librarian friend intimidating her constituents and earlier today we heard news of Rep Tom Perriello (D-VA) banning people from bringing signs to his town halls. Now video has surfaced of Senator Kay Hagan having the consequences of her vote for Obamacare explained to her by a woman worried about her children. (h/t Brian Faughnan)
Obamacare is a disaster, voters know it, and they’re going to let their representatives know it:
In much better times, back when Democrats were going to save the world from the evil Bush regime, Nancy Pelosi uttered words that changed America forever and provided hope to the masses: those words were her pledge to lead the most honest, open, ethical Congress in history.
Oh how times have changed.
Now Obama’s approval ratings are down–a new poll released today shows him as low as 41%, Congress has an 11% approval rating, private sector jobs still aren’t showing up despite flowery and optimistic talk coming from the White House, not to mention the oil spill response from both BP and the White House was absolutely horrendous. Moderate to left leaning Kathleen Parker even wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post, titled’ Obama: Our First Female President‘ in response to Obama’s style of leadership. Now that’s embarrassing.
In comes Reps. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Maxine Waters (D-CA) adding to the ever compiling list going against the Democrats favor this fall. Rangel is now facing a trial on 13 ethics charges that will surely carry through to the elections. Rep. Maxine Waters, a 10-term representative from California, has also been charged with violating ethics rules, setting the stage for a second trial.
When the Democrats took back control of the House and Senate in 2006, Nancy Pelosi made that magical statement about leading the most honest, open, and ethical Congress in history. Not only that, she talked up bipartisanship to a level that’s nowhere to be found. In fact, it’s pretty apparent that they have used controversial tactics multiple times to pass bills– such as health care– making backroom doors and buying votes. That’s only one of the many. Not very honest, open, or ethical. These trials only add to the plethora of broken promises and downright lies Pelosi promised.
Here she is in 2006, on a mission to be the savior of politics along with fellow Democrats as a standard to live up to:
Transparency.
Flash forward to when Rangel first became an issue earlier this year. In February of 2010, Pelosi still claimed she was leading the most ethical Congress ever. Read More
On Sunday, Sarah Palin came out swinging on the Arizona immigration debate.
She appeared on FOX News Sunday and spoke with Chris Wallace. The former governor told Wallace that, “Governor Jan Brewer has the cojones the president doesn’t have to secure our borders.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) addressed the Communications Workers of America, reaffirming her commitment to passing EFCA: “Of course we are committed in our party and we passed over and over again and we hope that it will be the law of the land soon, the Employer Free Choice Act.”
Union pressure to pass EFCA, or the card-check bill, began in earnest over a year ago, but the legislation– at the time– took a back seat to the health-care reform and “cap-and-trade” energy bill debates.
Anita MonCrief, an ACORN whistle-blower, attended the 2010 Right Online conference in Las Vegas in which she announced that she will press FEC charges against the Obama Administration for the campaign’s illegal work with ACORN during the 2008 election.
Anita recently launched the site EmergingCorruption.com , which will be used to keep an eye on corruption and fraud in ACORN and affiliated groups.
