According to Lee’s website, this is a video of the hostage taker, James Jay Lee, throwing money in the air in Silver Springs, MD. The YouTube video is dated as March 3, 2010. The person who shot this video wrote:
While walking to get lunch while on my break from work, I looked around to see a mob of people flocking back and forth from one area of the downtown Silver Spring area to the next. As I walked more, I saw money being thrown up into the air..! To this day, I still don’t know what exactly happened, so hopefully with this video being online, I can find out!
Update: The man in this video who was throwing money is also the gunman of the recent (Happening as I update this) shooting and hostage situation at the Discovery Building in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Quite crazy!
Thanks to Verum Serum, here is another video of a title sequence he created for his proposed Discovery channel show.
Right now there is a man who has taken hostages at the Discovery Channel’s building in Silver Spring, Maryland. I’m watching Fox News for the latest updates on what is unfolding. Here is their story on FoxNews.com. (UPDATE: reports are that Lee has been shot by police and the hostages have been released safely)
His name is being reported as James Jay Lee and he has a long history of hating the Discovery channel that is well documented online. For starters there is this DCist post from January 2008 about this guy’s protest against the Discovery channel. They basically mock him for being a nut because of this insane manifesto he posted online around the same time.
That insane manifesto includes a list of demands that includes this:
Not only did Gibb’s dance around questions regarding Obama’s past statements–and opposition– for the successful surge in Iraq, he was also asked 6 times if Bush would get any credit for Iraq. Not surprisingly, it’s answered in typical Gibbs fashion.
In 2007, Obama said: The 20,000 troop surge “will not in any imaginable way be able to accomplish any new progress“.
What a sad display. A constituent of Russ Carnahan, who also runs the awesome SharpElbows.net, calmly and very politely asks him what his position on the Ground Zero mosque is. Yet the congressman refuses to even acknowledge the question.
I guess some liberal politicians are finally starting to realize that taking positions in opposition of large majorities of the American people is a bad idea. However, I don’t think deliberately not taking a position at all is a much better idea. I guess we will find out in November. (h/t Breitbart.tv)
A Ground Zero mosque supporter hurled expletives towards a Holocaust survivor during the protests in NYC this past Sunday, going as far to claim that he “obviously he didn’t learn his lesson all this time he was a Holocaust victim.”
“I have no problem cursing out an unpatriotic, treasonous, piece of garbage that wouldn’t know the god**mn Constitution if it hit him in the f***ing face”, the mosque supporter said of the Holocaust survivor when confronted afterward.
Later he said,”obviously he didn’t learn his lesson all this time he was a Holocaust victim, cause right now he want’s the same god**mn thing to happen to the Muslims that happened to him.”
At 51 Park Place in New York City–the proposed Ground Zero mosque location– Eyeblast.tv was interviewing people on the street when an American Muslim supporter of the mosque said to “get over” 9/11 and that despite Manhattan having over 200 mosques, they need to keep the location of the mosque “right here.”
“God d****it, my wife is Jewish. Come on you guys, get over it”, the man said in regards to 9/11 after trying to draw an analogy using the Vietnam War. Right after he says to “get over it”, a lady responded “Oh my God, I’m not going to get over it- it happened right there”, pointing towards Ground Zero. An argument then breaks out between the two. In typical leftist debating fashion, he later calls her a “racist”.
Congressman Tom Perriello from Virginia said you can bring your opinions to his town hall meetings, but you cannot bring political signs inside regardless of what they say.
Recently, Perriello town hall goers were greeted outside with a sign that read: “To ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all attendees, no signs will be permitted inside the town hall meeting.”
Perriello’s people insist that the sign ban is about encouraging free speech, not limiting it. They also claim it will make the meetings less distracting.
According to the youtube account that posted the video of the event this shocking act of intimidation happened during a public forum held by Rep Melissa Bean (D-Il) in a public library in Round Lake, Il. The video speaks for itself and, quite frankly, this is disturbing behavior from any elected official. No wonder they kept asking everybody to turn off their video cameras (h/t Gateway Pundit):
I know this isn’t anywhere near the first time that liberal representatives have turned to extreme measures to avoid being held accountable by their constituents, in fact we have a whole catalog of such extreme measures, but this is worse than most. What kind of thug hires muscle to literally physically intimidate their own voters? This is simply despicable.
When confronted by a reporter who asked former President Bill Clinton why he campaigned for PA Senate candidate Joe Sestak (D) after he tried to get him out of the primary, Clinton claimed that “he never tried to get him out of the race.”
The reporter is referring to an Obama Administration job offered to Sestak by Clinton. The White House wanted Sestak to drop out of the Democratic primary against Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter to clear the path for Specter. As known, Sestak ended up defeating Specter in the primary.
From the way Charlie Rangel celebrated his 80th birthday bash, you would never know he’s a man caught up in 13 chargers of ethics violations and about to go on trial just before the November elections.
Rangel celebrated in high fashion at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan alongside Sen. Chuck Schumer, Gov. Patterson, and NY State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo who spent much their speeches defending the corrupt politician. The event was also a fundraiser for Rangel.
